Privacy policy
Last updated: 2 October 2026
This policy covers MarkdownKit for Confluence ("the app"), published by FJB Apps.
What the app does with your data
The app runs entirely on Atlassian Forge, inside your Atlassian site. Markdown conversion happens in your browser. Pages, attachments and labels are read from and written to your own Confluence site through Atlassian's APIs, using the permissions of the person using the app.
- The app does not send your content or personal data to FJB Apps or to any third-party server.
- The app does not store your content or personal data outside your Confluence site.
- The app does not use cookies, analytics or tracking.
Markdown written in the app's macro is stored by Confluence as part of the page it is on.
Data Atlassian shares with us
When your organisation installs or purchases the app, Atlassian provides us with licensing and billing-contact details (such as organisation name, technical and billing contact names and email addresses, and licence status). We use these only to provide support, manage licences and meet legal obligations. Atlassian's handling of this data is described in the Atlassian Privacy Policy.
Support requests
If you contact us for support, we keep your message and contact details for as long as needed to resolve the request. Please do not send confidential content; if we need an example, we will ask for a minimal one.
Data residency and deletion
Because the app stores nothing outside your Confluence site, your content stays wherever Atlassian hosts your site, and uninstalling the app leaves no app-held data behind. Pages created by an import remain in Confluence as ordinary pages.
Changes and contact
We will update this page if the app's data handling changes. Questions: see Support.
